New leader joins HSI Title V team

Career Advisor, HSI Title V Grant Project, CSUN Career Center
Highly passionate for working with first-generation college students, Monique Corral joins us this spring as HSI Title V Grant Project’s Career Advisor. Her role has helped to facilitate the Career Center’s involvement in the grant.
Prior to joining the team, Corral served as a Career Guidance Counseling Assistant at Los Angeles Valley College. She also held a position as Program Coordinator of a summer youth employment program and worked with the TRiO program, Upward Bound at Los Angeles Valley College. Additionally, as part of a Family Preservation program in the San Fernando Valley, Corral served as an Outreach Counselor and Social Worker.
Corral is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, and CSUN with an master of arts degree in counseling, specializing in College Counseling and Student Services. She also earned a post-master’s certificate in Career Education and Counseling from CSUN. As a strong advocate for community involvement and higher education, Corral serves as a member of the National Career Development Association.
